Trekking Holidays with or without your horse

Laketour Stables offers accompanied trekking in some of the most scenic routes in Ireland. Superbly located close to Tramore Beach. A wonderful sandy beach sweeping for miles from the foot of Tramore town to the distant sand-dunes. In fact, Tramore town derives its name from the Irish words “Tra Mhor”, Tra meaning beach, and Mor meaning Big. “Big Beach”. It is on the door-step of two beautiful fresh water fishing lakes, Ballyscanlon and Carrigavantry Lakes, with the Comeragh Mountains in the background and with trekking around one of the few unspoilt, spectacular coastlines in Ireland, the Copper Coast.

It really has a variety of treks to offer every level of rider with a fantastic change of scenery on each trek. With a wide variety of accommodation within the immediate vicinity, there is something to suit everybody.

Trekking Holidays are offered from 2 to 5 days for a minimum of 6 persons (if you are not part of a group please contact us and we will accommodate where possible on the trekking holiday). You may ring to organise the trekking days to suit your riding ability and your choice of Beach, Lakes, Mountains, Cross-Country, etc.

A Trekking Holiday with your horse is a real experience for both horse and rider. Horses are well catered for at Laketour Stables and shall be stabled in the yard for the duration of your stay.
